There must be a difference in the earlier Chevelles, because from what I know of, the 68 to 72 are all the same, just for A/C cars is different in the mounting for the evap and holes for the lines. Anyone else know?

I'm not sure about other years but the 69 big block cars and cars with hd cooling have a 4 bolt retainer at the top, while the sb cars w/o air and standard cooling had only 3

Interesting... I forgot to mention 68-72 E- Caminos, Specifically 70. Does anyone know if these have additional bolts?

drivers side has stamped steel extension welded at lower rad. mount like 4 core top plate too fit wider radiator

A small block car with AC or a BB car will have a larger opening in the radiator support for the radiator. A small block car with out AC or 6 cylinder car will have a piece of steal that covers about 1/3 of the larger 28" opening to account for the smaller radiatior.
