I found a good deal on a rust free 1969 body. i have all the parts for a 68 (doors, hood, fenders, seats) I was wondering if i would be able to use my 68 parts on a 69 body. THANKS

69 don't have the vent wings like the 68's do.
I had a 69 parts car with vent wing on one side and none on the other side.
Someone put a 68 door on the driver's side.

Assuming they are both hardtops, the doors on a '68 have vent windows while the '69's do not, so you better check the body weatherstrip first. The hood will fit if you use the hinges for the hood as ther were different for '69. Fenders shouldn't be a problem, seats will bolt in, but your '68 seats will have no headrests where the '69's did. Bumpers will not interchange, dash is different rear deck lid will fit. Most mechanical parts will fit. A Hollander manual for those years will give you alot of info, but once you get the car, you'll see what does and does not fit. The most critical parts are the body.

Hi, My name is John and I thinking of buying a 1969 Chevelle SS. I would like to ask for some help.

What are the differences between a 1968 and 1969 chevelle SS?
How can you tell the differences by looking at the cars?

Thanks for your help.

What are some good web sites to buy 1969 SS Chevelle parts?

Thanks for your help.

8ball,
If you want to get some information, you need to start your own thread instead of hijacking mwachula's. Your question would probably be more appropriate to ask in the Chevelle Tech group.

Previous owner was probably a smoker. ;)

1968 door has a wing window.

That pretty much covers it. It should get you started anyways. Hope this helps.

your '68 seats will have no headrests where the '69's did.

In 1968 RPO A81 for $52.70 you would have head restraints on a Chevelle.
