Found a short 400 from a van from the late 80īs is it some thing to start with? How strong are they unmodified? Did they put the shortest 400 in a van?

I used a truck 400 turbo in my 69 chevelle the tail shaft had a collar on it that won't allow the car yoke to fit in the tail housing very far had to change the shaft. check your yoke in the back first. the short shaft 400 will work other than that. terry
