Where's the best place to get pot metal pieces chromed and slightly filled/repaired? Most folks just chrome steel or specialize in bumpers. I need to redo the four cab moldings on my Elky.

Pauls is the only place i know that does pot metal.I had some taillight bezels for a 69 roadrunner done by Pauls and they were very nice.Not cheap at all though. :eek:

The Finishing Touch in Chicago does pot metal but is VERY expensive. Great results from them though.

I'm trying out Performance Plating in Olathe, KS which came highly recommended with my '65 console and '64 GTO tail lights. If I ever get them back I'll let you know how they turn out! Price were very reasonable compared to the specialty places like The Finishing Touch and Paul's.

Call Steve at A.I.H. Chrome in Dubuque, IA. 1-800-782-8235. Unbelievable rechrome work, he did my tail light bezels on my 1968 Chevelle, I dont know what you call pricey, but if you want good chrome work done, pay up.

I had mine done at Ogden Chrome in Ogden Utah, damm expensive, $460.00
but they did a great job. I would shop price more than I did, live and learn. They also did my rear bumper and did an excellent job $200.00

pauls did my roof rack they told me when it would be done and it was right on time they will be doing all the chroming on my 65 post i think they are the best

There is a place out in Ca called Lemon Grove Plating. They specialize in pot metal chroming and from what I have heard, they do a great job with a fairly reasonable price. If you want me to, I can try and dig up their address and number for ya.

I've had good results with Pauls, but its not cheap.
