Shannon, as far as I know, "Stencils and Stripes" are the only one's producing them, They are based on the later style. You can get them from any of the restoration parts houses. I think these are what everyone uses and are generally accepted as correct. They are pretty easy to use too.

I'm gonna throw in my personal opinion here.
I used the stencil kit from Year One. It's a fine kit and does a fine job. However... it consists of several sections. The hood stencil consists of a rear piece for the back of the hood and a front piece for the front of the hood. Once you get those two pieces in position you then lay down the straight sections to connect the front and rear. What happened on my car....and most others that I see that have been done using the stencils, is that after the paint is applied and the stencils removed you can notice where the sections were put together. There always seems to be atleast a slight kink or jag in the straight part of the stripe.

The stencil kit came with the exact measurements and widths for the stripes and ever since then I lay out the stripe without the stencils using 3/M blue fine line tape. I have made stencils for the curved part of the stripes to go by so I get that part right. It is MUCH easier to get straight lines and stripes when laying one continuous line off the roll.

Find a Chevelle with SS stripes that you KNOW are accurate and measure and layout your own stripes for straighter lines.

This is my personal opinion.....and what I have had the best luck with.

Shannon, if you send me your address I can send you those exact measurements, I have them because when I painted my stripes on using the stencils some of the paint came off with the tape and I had to redo them. I measured everything exactly and even have a tracing of the correct curve at the bottom.
