: Procar Seat Brackets for sheet metal floor

Just ordered the Procar (Scat) lowback vinyl seats. I know they come with the sliders, but not the brackets. I would order the brackets, but the salesman told me they wouldn't fit my car because I have a 65 Chevelle with a flat sheetmetal floor. Any suggestions? I have brackets out of another car, but not sure how well they will work. Am I stuck putting in washers and pieces of metal to get the seat where I need it to be?
Thanks,
Zane

Check out my pictures. I used the procar seat, but not their brackets.

I bought some 3"x4" angle iron (fairly thick stuff!) at a local steel/salvage yard shop. On the way home I stopped by a repair shop that had a large machine for cutting (sawing) metal. They lopped of a handful (8+1spare) of pieces about 4" wide each. They only wanted $10 for that!

I set the seat up using books and such. Then held the brackets in place and marked some holes. For the floor, I put very large washers under the bottom. I spent a good deal of $$ on all of those fastners, but I wanted to be safe/sure that nothing came loose.

I put maybe $75 into "my" brackets, and they are the EXACT height/pitch/distance that I want them to be. Took a while to drill into those brackets. I was done in a day, working by myself.
