back in the late 70s my dad acquired a 1970 chevelle ss454 with 30,000 miles that was abandoned at a body shop he didnt think he could get a title so he cut the car up later to find he could of got a title DOH! but anyway everyone has a story of that im sure but anyway all we have left is the back clip still behind our garage but i was talking to him about how i wonder what all options were on it and he goes i have the buildsheet up at the house so we dug it out and he was wondering if it would be worth anything it was an ls5 car and m22 trans with 331 gears and stuff ill attach some pics but he was mostly wondering if its worth anything thanks for the help.

SS454 hit the nail on the head. Unless the car is still out there, which it's not, the build sheet is pretty much useless. It would only be worth something to the person who would own the car, if it were still in existence.

Here is an honest and blunt answer to this question...

Some people will go to extraordinary lengths to fake a real SS car, also, people are stupid. People are faking buildsheets now, and really, it's not hard to do. You can get VIN's for a given car off the internet, then fake a buildsheet that corresponds with said VIN and sell it to some sucker that doesn't know any better.
