I have the dash pad out of my 69SS. I want to remove the dash bezel and restore it and also clean up the gauges and gauge lenses. My question is do you take the bezel out with gauges attached or remove 1/4" bolts holding bezel and lenses then remove bezel. I cleaned and sprayed the original dash pad with Landau Black and it looks like new. Would like to do the same with the bezel, then replace all knobs etc. Any tips would be appreciated.

How is the green paint on the inside of your guage housings?
I would remove the entire thing, bezel out with gauges attached. Then disemble it on a work table much easier to do it that way. I did all of mine that way.
Here is a thread I started long ago Click Here (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114770&highlight=guage+lense)
I also polished my plastic lense and my plastic seat belts. Look on my signature and you will find a bunch of stuff on what I did, just ask questions I can help you on alot of 69 parts. I also have the green paint for the inside of the guage housings.
