Has anyone tried the reproduction sound deadner made by Re pops.
I'm not exactly sure how your'e supposed to make it stick to the floor.

I'm assuming use a heat gun.
There is a thin layer of celophane plastic stuck to the back, im not sure if it's supposed to come off or not, it doesnt want to.

other than that, it's cut and fits like the originals.
Any ideas?

I'v used dynomatt on my gto, my chevelle, and my pick up, and it works great. Get a little wood roller and a heat gun and work the material into the shape of the floor pans.

I would assume the plastic is supposed to come off the back to expose the adhesive.

Where is the best place to get dyno mat? I want to put sound deadner on the side panels and some heat sheild on the roof top and floor before I put my interior back in. I have heard it works real good.
thanks

JSL, just lay it out on clean floor panels in the proper location. Lay the jute/carpet over it an replace the seats. The heat from the floor and wieght of the carpet will help it conform to the sheetmetal.

So I take it , you don't actualy have to make it stick, it just sticks on its own after a while, am I right?

Jeff, correct. I laid both my tarpads and carpet out in the yeard for a while to soften things up and just laid it in.

Summit and Jegs sell Dynomat as well as stereo shops. Another alternative I'm looking into is a HVAC material called Bituthene, similar to "bitchatin" roofing material. Some here calim it sound deadening is superior to Dynomat.
