I will be wetsanding out some orange peel on a bc/cc job I will be doing on my chevelle. My question is, what brand/size/model/speed, etc should I get specifically as far as a buffer/polisher to use after the wet sanding is finished to bring out the glass finish again.
Also, where would you suggest I buy this buffer/polisher ? Thank you smile.gif

Dewalt 849
Ebay they normally go for around 150 bucks NEW

autobodydepot.com
Autobodytoolmart.com
toolsusa.com
Also carry them

As for products Meguairs is the ONLY brand to use!! 3M is junk period.
Diamond cut 2.0 on a white foam pad at about 1500-2000rpm
Then Dual Action Cleaner on a black foam pad at 1000-1200 rpm.
Follow with speed glaze or glaze #7 by hand
Meguairs also has a REAL sweet polish called Hi Tech, some of the best stuff Ive seen.

Start out with 1200 grit then go up to 2000 grit.
If you can find it buy some Meguairs UNI-Grit paper. It out lasts and out cuts any paper out there. They also make it in very fine grits like 2500 grit, which really does speed up the buffing process. Eastwoods i believe sells the UNI-grit paper...Eric
