Intresting, 23 right side and 0 left side. Wonder what happened there? One side is harder to find in good condition perhaps?

The fenders you get from GM are not actually an original. They are reproductions just like the resto suppliers carry. At least thats what I have heard from other 69 owners. Im a 66 guy so I havent really checked myself.

I would think they are gm one's because a guy I know bought them and they had gm numbers on them and nothing about gm resto part.He bought them from a chevrolet dealer. I don't know for sure though because I'm a 71 guy.

I think that what you can buy from GM is a GM Restoration part...complete with GM part #, etc., but they are not actually STAMPED by GM, from the original dies that stamped your 38 yr. old fenders you are replacing. They are probably stamped by Dynacorn or similar, and liscensed thru GM as a restoration part.

Remember, if it was 1971 right now, and you walked into your dealer to buy a new fender for your 69, the box would say, GM. Now it says GM Restoration.
