Dean Dec 14th, 06, 3:56 PM "Country songs".. yeah right. :(
Sounds more like the stuff you hear in Rock or Crap to me.
Who writes that trash anyway? :boring:
Real country music doesn't hardly even exist anymore.
There havent been very many real country songs since they started using wind instruments and drums in the bands back in the 50's.
A lot of what they call country now, we used to call rock and roll.
I think some of the song writers have been having real brain farts with stuff like "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" (how in heck can a tractor be sexy) :clonk: - "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" and on and on and on and......
I guess they're the ones making a lot of money doing what the majority of the people want to hear and that seems to be the name of the game now so......
(I do still like Alan Jackson and a few others though.)

Uppster Dec 14th, 06, 9:54 PM Vince Gill sings number 11.
68bye Dec 14th, 06, 11:30 PM Dean, I hear ya'. I think they stopped making country music about 1994 or maybe a little sooner. There's exceptions to every rule though, like you said. George Strait is making music, so is Alan Jackson. Country took a horrible blow in the early 80's with the disco craze. Maybe this crap will go away, too.
Ricks70ss Dec 14th, 06, 11:31 PM ok DEAN you can come out now. your suppers in the fridge
jocww Dec 15th, 06, 2:51 AM so country to you is who, good night irene and those types of ballads?
Chris R Dec 15th, 06, 3:12 AM #11 is also a real song. Guy was playing that disc in the shop a while back and from someone thats not much into country, it wasnt too bad of a song. I just cant remember who the artist is.
68bye Dec 15th, 06, 12:55 PM Well, country is generally broken up into two catagories (I know there's alot more, but generally speaking) Traditional and contemporary. I like the more traditional stuff. If I turn on a country station I don't want to here a straight out rock song with no resemblance to country what-so-ever. There's a song on the local country station that has NO business being on country radio. When I tune into the station and that song is on, I have to make sure I landed on the right frequency. That's the stuff I disapprove of.
