just wondering what my car is worth. here is the description. I will try to get pics soon but without pics what could be an estimate?
The passenger side rear quarter has some rust not bad at all. That is the only "rust spot". There were a few surface rust spots on the hood and trunk that i sanded down and painted black to protect them. The rest of the car is very nice. The paint is definatley faded but it is mostly on the hood,trunk and roof. The rest isnt so faded. This is all the bad that i know of the car. to give the paint a rating out of ten i would give the paint a 5.
Now the good.
The car is a inline 6 with a 3 speed on the tree. I took off the head repainted it and cleaned it. Same thing with the rest of the top end.
New parts include:
Plugs
Plug wire
Distributor
Reman. carb
head gasket
Ignition Coil
Batt.
Radiator Hoses
Thermostat
Water Pump
Belt
Brand new wiper Motor, new blades and new front windsheild.
and i am sure a few other things i am missing
As for the interior. This is one of the nicest you will fiind. There is one small tear in the front bench. About 3/4 of an inch. It is a slit and can be repaired very easily. Which i am going to do so it does not get bigger. Back bench is flawless.
Interior was all taken out. I cleaned the floor pans and pached any leaks with galvinized steel. Then i painted 3 coated of a rust inhibitor onto the pans to keep them from rusting again. ( i did this about 2 weeks ago.) I installed brand new carpet which looks sharp. All original color. Dash is not been touched.
As far as the wheels. I put in brand new brakes, rebuilt everything on all wheels that had to do with brakes, new springs, pads, wheel cylinders, and cleaned and painted everything.
I put in new shocks in the front and back.
Trunk floor is solid with no rust except for some surface rust in a 5x5 inch area.
Wheels are really really nice. Nos trim rings and Center caps. Reconditioned 15inch rally wheels. They are not oringinal to the car as the car had 14inch rims. They were professionally blasted and painted the original silver. Brand new Dunlop Gt qualifiers.
I also have a 327 that i have taken apart with the intention of restoring. It needs bore but it is a great starting point. Came out of a 68 car. buyer would also get this engine included with the car. The engine is complete with everything.
Car has just recieved the inspection sticker today and i had a front wheel alignment done. Runs excellent. Great project for a show car or can be used as a daily driver right now. Car has 68,103 original documented miles on it. Can send pics apon request.
just put in a new alternator and new voltage regulator. Also getting new seat belts this week, with the stock Red color.
