found out this morning that one of my friends had thier car stolen last night. she came out this morning....and her car was gone. she has a little acura,....sucks big time. notified the police ..now we sit and wait.:mad: :sad:

That sytle of car is high on the list for theft. I used to live in the Bay Area and leaving one of those outside is taking a chance. Sorry to hear that. If she had a Low Jack installed they can trace it down real fast. If it did not then it will be in pieces if they ever do find it. What's left of it that is.

i hope so too. she really needs that car. she uses it for work and everything else. but if she would of had at least a alarm, that would of helped also.. well. we will see how it goes.

Will her insurance get her a loaner car until the case is solved? Not sure how that works with insurance? Anyone know if they have to wait X amount of days before they can $ cash her out, or do they have to find the car first??

If she has full coverage, They will process the claim and get her a check for blue book. may be days, may be weeks. If they pay off and the car is found, They own the car.

Insurance covers ONLY what you have a policy for ...
if your not paying for coverage on a rental car they are not going to get you one !!! if you look at fine print on bottem of Policy they all say your covered against every thing ..... EXCEPT what happened :angry:
