took the back glass out of my car yesterday, i have rust in the lower drivers side. right in the corner Its eaten through pretty good. My body guy said he could weld and fit some metal and make it work but is there a piece to replace that? Ive kinda looked through my chevelle parts mags and havent found anything yet.

no there is not. i've often thought that a guy could create the molds for the area and make himself a fortune. To get that area in a repop you have to buy a full quarter.

I've got one of these panels that I purchased but never used. You may be able to get by having your bodyman replace part of the panel. Lip may be hard to fabricate though although it can be done. Replacement of the entire piece can be a hassle also unless you really need to replace it, than thats what's necessary.

you were talking about the corner of the window correct? Not the window to trunk center piece. The corner is not available (that I know of). I had to piece it together like your body man suggested.

yeah im talkin about the very corner. kinda where the window sits. I think i will just have my body guy fabricate something. Unless anyone else has a better suggestion. thanks guys, just wanted to make sure there wasnt an easy fix before i go into the trouble of fabrication

nah the trunk to window panel stops at the LINE before your window CURVES, thats gonna have to be cut out and a new piece welds in place. just had it done on my 71 2 weeks ago. sorry
