I recently purchased a 65 malibu ss in pretty rough shape, but it had alot of extra parts. including a 3 peice trunk kit that wasnt primed or painted like some of the newer ones Ive seen, there is some light surface rust and I was wondering if would be ok to sand blast them or sould I buy a new set. second ,there were 2 full quarter panel that came with the car and the name brand on them is TABCO, and a maid in tiwan sticker on them, someone told me these were junk but he was also trying to sell me a set of goodmark quarters, I was wondering if any one has used the Tabco units, should I invest in Gookmark or are tabco good enough, they are in perfect condition

I've never heard of tabco... on the other hand both my quarters are Goodmark and they fit very well. I think you might want to evaluate how you want he end product to turn out. If you are questioning the quality of your quarters now then you probably will be later after you went through the labor of installing the Tabco ones.
I bought my new set from Potomac Classic out of Frederick. He is excellent to deal with. Call him at 301-668-0101 and ask him if he has heard of Tabco, he's been in business awhile and is also familar with Goodmark products.

As far as I am aware, there are no full quarter panels made for the 65. There are only 80% quarter skins available, and they are all made offshore. I ordered mine from Goodmark thinking they would be best quality and american made. Not so, they arrived with a made in taiwan sticker attached. So I would not junk those quarter skins, if they look good use them. Goodmark probably will ship you the same ones, or similar offshore stamps. Mine worked just fine, by the way.
