General Knowlege question. My chevelle is painted Dove White(lacquer) its at least 10 years old but is holding up very well. Still has a good shine on only a few dings here and their. I've taken it to shops to have them looking at touching up the dings(very minor), but no one will touch it. First they don't do lacquer and they say the newer paints will hold up better and after time the car will become 2 tone. What is the best way to maintain the finish and is their a simple way to touch up minor marks. Some pin type bubbles are starting to appear at the bottom of the 1/4 panel but nothing that detracts from the car. I'm looking at having to repaint the car in 2-3 years and have a complete body job done.$$$$$ I suppose. that's the least I can do to my BABY.

If you HAD to have the lacquer, the toners are still available, there just aren't any systems out there. You could get just the toners for that white (probably only about three) and have the paint store mix you up some. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
