Is there a way to repair a broken spring in a bucket seat bottom. I have a good set of cores but found a broken spring on the side which makes it very flimsy. I hate to have to buy a complete spring setup.

There may be a better way, but I used a piece of small brake line tubing. Slip the broken spring ends into the tubing and crimp the tubing to keep it from sliding off.

If it's the side support spring, they are available separately for most models. I believe our sponsor ( Ground Up ), has them.

Didn't see anything but complete seat bottoms there. I'll check a few other places. And yes it is the side support spring.

That spring is nine times outta ten broke...you can try to an extra seat and rob one...you can go to the upholstery supply shop and buy a few feet of s spring and make your own...or you can PM me a pic of the core in question and perhaps I can help you out...

I found in my Classic Muscle catalog ,their site is www.oldmusclecars.com. Side support springs 64-65 part#120-AG, 66-67 part #121-AG. The catalog I have covers 64-67. Their phone # is 1 800 722 4828.
