I just got my car sand blasted and I am going to primer it asap. I am going to do the inside and out at the same time. What primer (#'s) should I use? I still have alot of blocking and some filler work to do. I am looking for a resonable price as well.

If you're starting with bare metal, you need to use a self etching primer. Do a search under 'PRIMER' in this section and you can study an research the subject.

If you read my posts all the time. you know I am a BIG fan of etch primers. But this is a little different, an epoxy would be a better choice. That is not to say that etch UNDER the epoxy wouldn't be better, but on top an epoxy would be much better. If you plan on doing "bondo" work over the epoxy (a remommended procedure) then I would leave the etch off the out side. If you do etch alone you will have to strip it off where you do "bondo" work. Though this is not a big deal, it is much easier to just apply the filler over the epoxy.

I think I am going to go with an epoxy primer because I can get it for cheap. Thanks for the help. Just out of curiosity, would YOU paint the interior and trunk or undercoat it? I want to paint the interior but I am not sure about the trunk. And also should I go with a black fire wall or the same color as my car. I am going to paint it 2001 chevrolet storm grey. Should I go with racing stripes or flames? What color? I was thinking about using some platnum pearle to do the flames or stripes.
