I have a quart of DP90 I purchased in 1995. I have never painted anything, and project that this was going to get used on was sold shortly after.
I've heard/read that the old DP was good stuff ... but after 9 years should I use it, or just pitch it? Would it be best for non-visible areas like the frame and cowl, since I doubt a quart will cover the car.
Can is in good shape, was stored dry and temp controlled whole time.
Thanks, Neal

Actually, the catalyst appears to have evaporated (along with the can of degreaser). Both cans are empty now ... and I don't see any signs of leaking.
Do they still make the catalyst I need? Or, is this a complete lost cause.
Thanks, Neal

The old DP line was very durable, I have never had any failures with it. Unfortunately it is no longer available. And if you did find any catalyst it will have undoubtedly exceeded it's shelflife. I'd find another product to use. PPG offers DPLE now as the DP replacement, and also EPX900 which I think is very similar to the older DP. Some of the shops have been experimenting with another PPG epoxy called CRE-CT that seems very good, I picked up a gallon at a cost of $52 with hardener but haven't tried it yet. Very thick stuff with excellent adhesion and sandability after full cure is what I've been told. The military is testing it for approval. Bob
