Busy weekend... Bought a Chevelle, and sold a bunch of parts...
Sold, Muncie M20. Was rebuilt in '85, but sitting since 91 or '92. Gears/synchros look great (no chips,). Case was in great shape too ('67 case with 1" shaft)... $500 (I was hoping for $400 plus , so pretty happy)
Sold, BB parts;
1)1965 #961 block with caps,
2)1966 #961 block with caps (broken starter pad area), both standard bore/deck, but some surface rust.
3) 1972 402, 0.030 over, not decked. fresh machine work, but now surface rusted, with caps
4) 2 sets of #206 '65/'66 oval port heads (cores with surface rust)
5) '65 396 Steel crank, std/std, but rusty
6) 2 sets of rod cores
7) Edelbrock sindle plain oval intake (Older)
$650 for everything
1971 12-bolt bare with caps but rust/pitting inside on bearing surfaces, $100
Bought:
1966 Chevelle station wagon;
1971 400 Small block
A-body discs
TH400 trans
12-bolt (haven't checked, but 1967+ based on spring cups)
all glass good, most trim good. paint, interior thrashed...
Minor rust (front window channle lookks great, along with doors and 1/4s... Minor rust bottom of fenders (behind the rocker trim, of course), and along the bottom of one side rear window (not rottted through, but might need to be cut out)
Old-style, 15" Torque thrusts (pre-'83?), with the straight spokes (my favorite)
The car runs/drives and stops well
California Black Plate with protecto-Plate... Fate? the car was originally sold at my home town, from the same dealer as my SS hardtop... Fate#2, the Pink slip has the previous address of a past owner, and its the same city & street where I bought my convertible...
Pretty excited
