I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this one. I want to put my factory AM radio in my car for the looks of it and run an FM modulated Sirius unit along with it. Does anyone know if there is some type of converter I can use to get the FM signal to run through the AM radio just to give the Sirius radio a frequency to operate on? Thanks.

Easiest way would be to modify the radio for an AUX input jack.
OR, install an old style "FM Converter" and feed the Sirius thru that.
OR, install an aftermarket stand alone auto Sat radio in the glove compartment.

Would using an FM converter would allow me to play the Sirius through the AM radio? That might be the way to go if it would work.

Sure, just tune the Converter to the Sirius transmit freq.
Sound quality is not the greatest but these older Kraco type converters are found on Ebay all the time. They splice into the antenna lead and the factory AM needs to be tuned to around 1400 AM, IIRC.
BTW...I love Sirius!! Have it in both daily drivers and a portable "boom box" here at home. Listening to Ch. 075 right now.

I love it too. I have the Starmate Replay unit that I use in my truck and my garage.
