More questions....
What is the best approach to repairing or replacing rust holes above/around the rear wheel wells? The bottom of the quarters are ruested also.
Trying to decide if we are getting to more than we can handle.
Thanks again,

The "best" approach would be to weld a new quarter on. Now if a whole quarter is out of the price range you could buy patch panels and weld them in, however they will most likely be two seperate panels and require as much if not more welding than a whole quarterpanel. My experience also is that if the wheelwell is rusted, then most likely the outerwheelhouse is also rusted and will need to be either patched or replaced, and if the bottom of the 1/4 is rusted then most likely the filler piece between the trunk floor and the 1/4 is also rusted and will need replaced. But the good news is that both of these last two parts are readily available, fairly cheap, and mostly hidden form view when finished. I would say if you have the tools, the space and the ambition go for it.
