Looks like it's over priced by about 6 K to me.

I would have to agree with the last two posts. With what I see in the pix, I'd say $2500-$4500 max.

there was a complete, running, under 100K 1972 V-8 air car in the Albuquerque paper yesterday and today for $4000, so it seems about right for a similar car in the expensive northeast.

Guy on base just sold his 72, needed paint, average interior, 350 turbo 350 AC worked, drum brakes column shifter. He put it on the lemon lot and it sold in 12 hours. $5200. Sometimes I want to put my 70 up for sale for some rediculous price just to see if someones got more money than sense. But, I know id kick myself if I did sell it. Jim

Agreed I buy and sell alot of chevelles and I stay away from 71 and 72s for that reason. They don't bring consistant money. I'm gonna say at best 4k

What is I said that that WAS MY car and I sold it to that guy for $4200 and it shows up 2 days later on his site for that price? It's a nice solid car but I can't see anyone paying that much for it. I had it for sale in various places for 3 months and only got a couple bites. Most people walked away at $4000. I put it on E-Bay and that guy bought it.

A friend called him pretending to want to buy it and the best he could do was $7500. I think he'll sit on it a while at that price.

But, he's got the luxury of doing that. I didn't. I was just having a little seller's remorse and wondered if I shorted my self.

Thanks guys

I would never pay that much for it. Once again a by product of BJ and other auctions making people think they are sitting on the hope diamond.

Id by this wagon its cheaper and has a BB

Oh believe me, I was HOPING for the "B-J effect" when I had it on Evil-Bay but it didn't work. :(

I was trying to get $4000-$4500 out of it when I was selling it locally because that's what I thought it was worth so I guess I wasn't too far off the mark.

I just didn't have time to wait for someone with more money than brains.

Been watching too much of the Barrett-Jackson auctions on tv, and it will only get worse next month when the next episode of " More money than brains " again debuts down here in the Arizona desert  Makes for good TV, but hurts the enthusiasts like us who are just into it for the enjoyment , and not the big $$ Affordable muscle cars will soon be out of most hobbyist's reach at the present rate . Anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it , whatever it may be, so ya better get 'em while you can ... -- they ain't gonna get any cheaper . Just my 2 cents worth .

Just sold it for $ 8,000
Boy that didn't take long at all!!!

These cars get shipped all over the world. Jeffs Chevelle just happend to be in excellent original condition needing very little welding and panel repair...The asking price is more than fair to someone who cannot afford to buy a rotted piece of junk and spend $10,000, (or More) welding in new floors rear 1/4's and trunk floor.
Chevelles are in very high demand and easy to sell. An almost rust free Chevelle is a no brainer They make Camaro bodies brand new, not Chevelle bodies...although it is just a matter of time before they do.

I have personally dealt with Doug and I can say he is a straight up guy. He answered all my questions honestly. The deal was fair and I'm very happy with the car I bought.

With regards to this particular deal, I guess someone either wanted the car or had more money than brains because the car is sold. A good car is getting harder to find and the ones that are in decent shape are commanding more money.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I've got nothing against Doug. I feel a little bad because I gave him a little run around. When he came to pick the car up, I was at work but my wife said he was very nice.
This is about me having sellers remorse and being out of touch with "the market". I priced the car where I would pay for it, not what I thought someone else might pay. That's Doug's business, and he apparently does it well.

Again, in my dealing with Doug, he seems like a staight up guy, and no one should have a problem with dealing with him.

I completely understand. It would absolutely suck if I sold my car only to find out it was some ultra rare concept chevelle with the factory installed fuzzy dice..

The car was sold for $8,000 then I took it back in trade and I just sold again as a roller with no notor or transmission.
THE TORQUE THRUST WHEELS WERE ADDED AFTER i PURCHASED THE CAR AND THEY MADE IT LOOK LIKE A COMPLETLEY DIFFERENT CAR
