I had this problem before but it went away since my alarm wasnt working... But now that things are back and running im back in the hole! I need another spot for an IGN HOT, is there an extension harness or some kind of relay I can run? I already have a 30a fuse in there and it still pops a couple times a month. If anyone has a link or part number for something affordable send it my way.... thanks.

do you want to run some accessories that draw alot of current (electric fans) for eg. and can't find a decent ignition source ?

I spliced into my power feed wire (the one that powers your original fuse block) and installed a Painless 7 circuit fuse block that added both Battery hot (3) and Ing Hot (4) circuits that is fused and has a relay.

You can also use the 3 circuit block if you don't need that many circuits.

The Painless CirKit products are a pretty nice package. The only gotcha here is you really have to think through what you are trying to do. It is one thing, and pretty simple, to provide more tap in points for more circuits. It is another thing to actually feed more current. Ideally using the Painless kits with a seperate added supply line would be the way to go. For supply lines I kinda like the stereo install kits. They usually have some pretty nice high capacity wire plus a master fuse holder.

Really have to go back to the question: what are you trying to do? If you have made no other harness changes and are blowing 30A fuses you may well be asking more from that single power feed wire in your harness than it is capable of giving.

I beleive I have my 6 autometer guages (the lights for them) running at some point into the IGN hot, they come on when I turn the key, an electric fan, my sterio, and this alarm kit! Thats pushing it big time. I didnt realise how much stuff was going in there. I forgot my guages were tapped into that line... I was thinking of taking the guages off and putting them on there own 12v switch to an always hot.. and just mount the switch under the dash someplace by my lights. Id love to go with a Painless kit somewhere down the line, maybe this summer...

That electric fan is up front right? It should get it's main power from up front too rather than off the dash harness.

Now if you are really talking about a fan controller... that can be a much lower draw. But put together with the earlier blown 30A fuse comment, it sounds like you are power the fan from the dash and that is discouraged.

No not really. I have an additional electric fan harness (adjustable temp control), it has an always hot and an ignition hot...
