I went to get my car inspected today and the guy said since my belts were hard to clip and unclip that i dont pass. I may be able to get them to work right, but the chrome is rusting off and i dont think they are original anyway. Does anyone know where i can get some good quality seat belts. I dont want to spend a ton but i need them soon to pass inspection. I only have 7 days. I have a red interior so i am thinking red belts would be nice. It is a 4dr and i want belts for the front and back. Thanks for any help.

I think federal law mandating seat belts did not start until 1965. Can you go back with nothing in the car just so it can pass? Just an idea. I don't recommend riding around without them. Here is a quick link I found via google:

The link below will make or restore seat belts for you, you will need to supply the attachment hardware though. I think there a little on the expensive side. I scored some off e-bay saved some $$$
