I searched all yesterday afternoon for a suitable adhesive for the headliner in my 69SS. I finally called a local upholstery shop and a very helpfull man told me just about any contact cement type adhesive would work as long as it could withstand hot summer temps without softening. I searched some more and found a Permatex heavy duty spray adhesive that is good for up to 170F and is water resistant. Any of you guys ever use this stuff. If it is crap, I would kind of like to know before I tackle the headliner tomorrow. All the clips are in perfect shape as are the bows, so I am in good shape as long as this glue works OK. Thanks for any info.

I think a spray adhesive will be messy to work with,(overspray). Get some Weldwood contact cement at just about any hardware store. Use a small brush.
