Ya gotta be kidding right? It seems that in order to get the body piece off that holds the housing, the bumper has to be dropped for the bottom to clear. Accessing the self tappers that hold the hosing on while the piece is loose but not off is tight on the inside and looks impossible on the outside. Not to mention the risk of scratching new paint.

Please someone call me a dumb Uky from Buffalo and tell me there is a better way.

Sorry, the bumper has to come off. If you're careful, you can take out the chassis/bracket bolts closest to the bumper and just loosen the bolts closest to the rearend and the bumper will swing down. Makes it a lot easier to put back on.

Gene as Bob said , just swing the bumber down untill the houseing clears. I always lay a heavy towel between the tail panel and bumper to protect the paint. Easy to pull out after the bumper is set.
