Well, looks like this winter is going to be my big block swap. I finally get to join the 500+ inch club!

What I need to know is, how are you guys setting up your accessories and brackets? I plan on running just water pump, alternator, and probably power steering (I may switch to a manual box). I would love to see pictures of your arrangement(s). I just want something that is clean, does it job well.

Please include what brand if aftermarket, or what year and model car these came from. Also, clue me in on what pulleys you are using.

What would be cool is, if there are any of you guys that have one off home made pulleys, it would be very nice if we could get the "blueprints" of them. I even see some alternator brackets on the bay that I hate to pay an arm and a leg for when it's nothing but a piece of 1/4 inch plate steel cut in a horseshoe shape with a few holes drilled in it, and some spacers and bolts for the hardware. Not that I don't like them, because I love the simple, non flash stuff, it's that I just don't like the sky high prices!

Anyway, I bet this could be a pretty cool thread, so, maybe we can get some sweet pics and ideas going on here!

Jake,
First, I'd recommend keeping the PS. That's a lot of weight up front and manuvering around town with manual steering is not fun. Ask me how I know...tried it once. PS went back on my car quickly.
Second, me personally...I use the March Serpentine brackets and pulleys. Pricey but trying to keep a V-belt on a stock BB pulley system can be a pain sometime.
Good luck with your project!!

I don't have ps but I do use an alternator and water pump. I use the 2 groove March v-belt pulleys. I've used them for 10 years and have never tossed a belt. This is going to 7600 regularly.
