my mom told me if i wanted to try and paint her early 90s car (read 91 acura). she said i could do anything i wanted to it. im not into imports so dont worry about me creating a monster.

what grit sandpaper should i use to wet sand it?? how far should i sand??

also theres places where im gonna use bondo. at what point is the bondo applied. before or after the primer is painted, or inbetween primer coats. what kind of primer should i use (read: whats the cheapest/effective).

im also going to be filling the seams between the bumpers and the body with bondo (i know it shouldnt be done but i just want to have fun. its like making a giant model car.)

the car used to have guards (plastic thins that go across from the front fender to the rear quarter, most new cars have them) that got knocked of by someone (stolen) i dont want to find replacements. i want to fill the 'valley' where they use to be. shoud i weld some sheet metal and then fill with bondo, or just fill the whole thing with bondo.

im not trying to make it look beautiful i just want to do something when im not working on the 70.

this is the basic shape (our car looks worse)

dont think im going rice. i just need to play (read: screw up another car and do wierd stuff that would just be a sin if done to my 70)
