Wow, I'm trying to get my driver's floor pan welded before I go to Carlisle ... but things as usual seem to be working against me:) As in I ran out of Ar/CO gas and can't find a brush to POR15 my crossmembers.

Anyhow, I decided to start working on my body mount bolts ... The nut under the brake pedal wasn't even attached anymore, then I got to the one on the front crossmember. Got to looking at it, and this dude ain't a bolt ... it's a stinking rubber plug.

I've read quite a few articles on lifting a body, and never heard of anything like this. Am I supposed to have a bolt or a rubber plug there?

Thanks, Neal

One (can't remember which one) of the mounts was just the rubber on my elky. The replacement kit (poly) had a single mount to replace them, one each side. If you have a factory assembly manual or fisher body manual it may show what you need.

The mount that is roughly at the door post (maybe slightly fwd of that?) is not bolted.
It's just the rubber/poly bushing mount...
