Will a 350 tranny work with a BB? I have a 350 auto tranny and a 350 engine. I am looking at upgrading the engine to a BB. Will this tranny bolt to a BB or do I have to get a 400 tranny?

It will bolt up and work. I ran one in a full time 4x4 GMC behind a BB for 18 years. The first 8 years was on the stock tranny, then when it needed a rebuild I went with performance clutches and a shift kit. Use the correct flexplate for the engine. If installing a 396 the 350 one will work. The 454 will require a wieghted flexplate.

I have run a 350 turbo behind a 402 BB for over 15 years. No problems at all. I have a 400 in the garage....but the gear ratios are not as good as the 350 for my application.

The 350 is not as strong as the 400.....but unless you are racing it...should work.
