Not being overly fond of vinyl tops. Has anyone converted a vinyl to a hard top?

Sure, people do it all the time. FYI, vynil tops ARE hard tops. They just have vynil over them. Just take the vynil and trim off, grind off the nubs that hold the trim on....level out with filler, prime and paint.
