: Rust on rear panel under top of rear bumper Bob B Oct 2nd, 00, 8:54 AM The rear panel on the back of my 65 chevelle is rusted out at the bottom where it extends under the top of the rear bumper. Does anyone make a replacement for this ? or what else could be done. jim owens Oct 2nd, 00, 7:47 PM Bob, I have not found anyone who makes this part. I have the same thing with my 72 SS and plan on doing some fabricating to repair it. Or if you could find a parts car with this part good and cut it out. A hassle, but possible I think. Nobody is going to see it after the seal is put on over it. mearsman Oct 2nd, 00, 10:02 PM Ihave a 64 and I used POR and fiberglass on the inside and POR putty on the outside worked like a charm and no welding cutting or grinding.
