did all 69 ss chevelles come from the factory with vynal tops or was it a option. mine was replaced about 18 years ago and i'm probably going to be painting my car in the next 3 or 4 months and thought about leaving it off and just paint the top like the rest of the car. what do yall think.

It was an Option...

Vinyl tops were an option but you have to think about what you are trying to do with the car. Do you like the look of the top? I think it looks nice with some colors and ok with others. Try to picture how the car will look with and without.
