: Anyone ever stay at the Quality Inn for Chevellabration?

I couldn't a room at the Best Western (sold out already for CB07), so I got in at the Quality for $54/night (on line).
Has anyone stayed there? Any comments? Good-bad?

Can't help you with the hotel, but does this mean I have to walk to a diffrent parking lot for a burger this year?

I think we booked there too.
Tom...worse case is to reserve at the Quality Inn and watch out for the last minute cancelations that always seem to happen at the BW.

OK, that's what I wanted to know.
By the way, isn't the Quality right there next to the Best Western???

Don't get the room right next to the office or you won't get any sleep, BTDT last year. The rooms on the front have a lot more traffic noise than the BW or Hampton, so ask for a room in the back.

I just looked it up on Mapquest.
It just right at the back parking lot of the Best Western and next door to the Hampton--------------------and a whole lot cheaper. I may start staying there!!!

I'd insist on staying where I could listen to burnouts all night!

Did you miss the entire thread about no more parking lot burnouts?

The only burnouts happening at hotels now will be if Tom drops one of his burgers into his grill:beers:

I dont know if I will go this year since I sold my 70:clonk: and it dosent look like my 69 will be done in time for that show:sad:. I might have to go driving around the country looking for mor cars and parts instead like I did before I got to cb06, I still have a room reserved at the BW so if I do cancel I will let you know. Its way too early to know for sure.

Read this thread. No more burnouts in the parking lots of the hotels.

I have mixed feelings on this.

Chris,
Chevellabration is ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLways in Goodlettsville, Tenn (suburb on north side of Nashville). Its the only national Chevelle event. I realize that Washington state is a loooooooooooooooong way from Nashville, but I bet you would find that it is more than worth the trip.
This is NOT even close to your typical car show. It is a gathering of a bunch of good folks who just happen to bring along their Chevelles!

OK, I read the comments from the link.
If I have to vote, I vote no more burnouts-----------------------AS THEY HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE MOTEL PARKING LOT.
I LOVE THEM, no question about it. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, I have to agree, one accident, injury, or unfortunate circumstance, and Chevellabration could suffer a severe setback.
OK, so what about doing burnouts somewhere else that could be considered safe? I don't have the answer, but the kind of burnouts that were being done on the backside of the Best Western parking lot last year are just tooooooooooooooooo dangerous. Did I watch? You bet I did! Did I do any burnouts? You bet I did! Am I going to do it again at CB07? NOPE! At least not in the motel parking lot.
I'm 110% in favor of ANYONE doing burnouts---------------------BUT I AM NOW TOTALLY AGAINST DOING THEM IN THE MOTEL PARKING LOT.
You know, if we had Chuck's blessing, and the approval of the Goodlettsville police to conduct such an activity SOMEWHERE safely, I would support it.
But from hereafter, my Chevelle will be PARKED when its in the motel parking lot.

Chris,
You could stop and spend one night at our house (near Okla City) and then travel on to Nashville along I-40.

I read in another thread that the best Western (old Shoneys) was full. Not true, I called today and reserved 2 double rooms for June 5 thru June 10 at $59.95/night. I asked if they were full and the guy told me there were some reservations but that I was "ahead of the curve" in reserving so soon.
I called the Quality Inn, right behind them and lots of rooms are available there, doubles were $79.00/night. Gary at the Hampton will not be taking reservations til Jan 1, but has a list of interested parties. So despair not, and Tom Parsons, call the Best Western directly and git yer room!
Still spaces at ground zero, all the other hotels ain't nothin' but a place to sleep!
