OK guy's the blacked out color between the rear taillights on 69ss cars. Was it
painted or was it vynal? My painter says vynal.

I assume this paint went in behined the extensons?

Should start in the middle of the top molding and continue to the middle of the lower molding.
No problem with continuing under the extensions. Won't be seen and it's prob best for coverage.

was that a semi-gloss black or gloss.
