I'd start with 2 quarts. Brush it on. One coat.

In the future when I order I'll order it by the pint. Seems like the quarts I had and used skinned over(hard covering) and I had to poke holes in the bottom and use screws. I think for me pints would result in less waste. BTW DON'T use cellophane/saran rap between the lid and can when you close the can you don't get a tight seal. JMO Pete

I used a whole quart of it on my frame, rear end, and cross member with 2 coats. Weve orded a gallon of it and it comes in 4 quart sized cans. Id say 2 quarts will do ya good. I would recommend spraying it because you can get into more places, we brushed our frame and it takes a very long time and theres always places you miss that you have to go back over, even with 2 coats. I dont know how spraying is going to be but we are going to try it this weekend and see.
Oh, and dont waste the Metal ready stuff, It goes really fast and they barely give you enough if you get some.

If you do it all at the same time buy it in 2 quarts. For smaller projects buy the six pack cans (less waste, after opening can it wont keep long). I brushed mine two thin coats and it doesnt leave brush marks looks sprayed. If you spray it you have to also buy the thinner and it probabally would take a few coats. Just make shure its clean, I sandblasted mine before coating.Awesome stuff.

I have a pint I have been using for about 2 years. I have dipped into it ( with a coffee scoop ) 5 times for small sections. I use Ziploc Handi-Wrap between the lid and can. I pound the lid on with a rubber mallet and it has sealed real good. I have relatively low humidity here which may help it last longer.
Close the can ASAP after you open it.
Keep the POR off of the part of the can that seals.

Keep the POR off of the part of the can that seals. That's exactly how I seal my POR-15, Zip-Loc plastic bag. Tap lid on securely with mallet. I had no problems either. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I use two layers of saran wrap to seal the lid. That way if one (or both) layer sticks to the can or lid, it will still easily open. Seals good for me.
