i was given a sway bar that came out of a 71 camaro. it is a 1" diameter bar. i was told it will fit on my chevelle. my car is NOT driven hard around corners. mostly quarter mile. will it fit my 69 chevelle. i need to order all attaching hardware. is polly ok? also was thinking about running the stock 7/8" rear bar. like i said this car is only driven hard in a straight line and easy around town. thanx mike

It will fit, and I'd recommend using poly.

Most of them are 1-1/8" so be sure to measure carefully before ordering your frame bushings.

:D the reason you don't drive in hard around corners is small swaybars .. poly is the way to go also you might think about getting the one's with grease fittings
Derek made a good point I also think you need to measure that bar ... :)
most are 1 1/8" an when mated to a 7/8 rear bar will make you a corner burner in no time ;)

thanx guys,
a 1" wrench fits over the middle of it perfectly so i figured it was a 1". i was hoping it was 1-1/8". who sells the poly with hardware that is black and stock looking? i have no desire to corner hard but get a bit of body roll with no sway bars as it is now. thanx again mike
