Hi guys. I'm installing a 12 bolt posi in my 69 Chevelle. It had 3.08's, the new one will have either 3.42's, or 3.31's. Not much better, I know, but the rear was free. Anyway, will i feel a difference? It has a powerful small block now that would roast the tire from idle w/ the 3/08's. Thanks-Jason

I dont have personal experience but I would assume that you definately will feel a difference. Better acceleration for sure and the posi will definitely help. Congrats on the new rear end, still looking for one for me.

I DO KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE. YOU WILL NOTICE A BIG DIFFERENCE OFF THE LINE IF YOU ARE roasting THE ONE TIRE NOW. HAVING BOTH TIRES WITH POWER WILL LAUNCH YOU INSTEAD OF SPINNING JUST ONE. THE TRADEOFF IS FREEWAY RPM WITH THE HIGHER GEARS.
