During our restoration of a 1970 Chvelle SS, this bracket was attached somewhere under the dash. We can not figure out where this bracket went. I am positive it is an underdash piece, but can't remember the exact location. Does anyone know where this bracket goes?

The car is an automatic 396 with A/C, factory am/fm 8 track (if that is of help).

Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated.

I know one of those goes from the back of the radio to the firewall. That might be it.

near the steering column..right side..

I think it's the column to dash brace, looks too heavy to be a radio bracket.

This attaches to the dash frame and screws to one of the screw holes on the dash cluster. If you take off the lower column cover it goes on the right side. I cant remember excatly if you can see it or not but I think you can see where it attaches to the dash frame.

Does anyone have a digital pic of this bracket in place?

Can this bracket be installed with the dash in place?

Thanks newbie4now, anychevy, and bluechevelless for the clues. I found where the bracket went. It does go on the right side of the steering column to the dash cluster. Here is a picture of the bracket in place. Thanks again....:beers:
