After 2 long years of work on my 72 Camaro (I know not a Chevelle) I took it for it's first spins. 406 with a Lunati Voodoo 241/249 @ .050 hyd cam and the damn thing runs real, real strong!!!!
I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it.
Harold, thanks for designing an awesome cam. :)

MGT999: Wait till you get it tuned. You will really love it. Good luck!! Maybe you're one of those lucky guys that doesn't a tune. It happens.
I thought my 406 ran good, but it picked up 90 HP on a chassis dyno. Best $100 I ever spent.

Thanx Harold yes I got it today....if I may ask the 402A2LUN is advertised for a 2400-6800 rpm use....with a 3.55 gear....I'd think you'd need a 3.73 gear to make it work....???

JD, not UDH obviously, but the smaller the cubes, the more the gear helps build torque multiplication, if that helps. 55s should be fine, a short stroke mill would like 73s better. I run 3.31, but with deep 1-4 gears, akin to 4.33, which the 427c.i. just eats up with glee.

Yes I understand gears help multiply torque, that cam to me looked like it would need lower than 3.55 gears to really be efficient, especially in a baby rat. A 454 might be a different animal.
