I need to replace the front left fender left door skin and have some small dime sized dents fixed on my seventy two malibu. does anyone know what the cost of this body work may be.

Well just to throw some quick numbers at you. A new aftermarket fender will cost ya around 350 bucks. New door skin is 150. Now to remove that old fender and install new one pays 1.8 hrs. To install a new door skin pays, well dont have the excat number but my guess would be something like 5-6 hrs. The average body shop rate is around 45 bucks. Take your 45 bucks times by the labor hrs 7.8 and you get 351 bucks for part removal and installing. Now for the painting it pays 3.0 hrs to paint that fender and 4.5 for that door. you have 7.5 hrs for paint time. Shops charge a lesser amount for paint time ours is 26 I think. So 26 times 7.5hrs equals 195 bucks for painting.

You have roughly 560 bucks just in body shop labor, take your parts amount of 500 and add to 560 and you get 1060 bucks to repair just the fender and door not including quarter
