I just recently went and paid the money and got the correct ( at least I hope ) side mirrors for my 71 Malibu. When I went to replace my old crappie ones the new set's screw holes were quite a bit narrower and the screws were smaller. My question is ( before I drill new holes ) is this normal or did the shop give me the wrong year mirrors? Who has some pics of there 71 side mirrors I can look at? Thanks for the help in advance!

Which mirrors are you talking about ,the standard or sport mirrors.I have pics of the L+R sport mirrors..Bill

the ones I had were the more cone shaped ones like you have on your 71 the ones I just got are the little round ones like on your 68. You can see my old ones in my signature.
