my car was painted about 13 years ago with a single stage black(i was told centari). the paint looks real good after i clay bar about once a year and last year used the meguires nxt. it still looks real good. well i need wax again and am wondering what wax is best for a single stage older black paint job? what i want is a wet black look as opposed to the mirrored look. i was thinking about zaino but if there is something better without all the extra steps thats ok. thanx mike

depends on the finish, if the paint is oxidized you need to clay, cut, polish and then use a good wax of some sort

You might want to email Mike Crown, he uses something called Dr Shine. Email him for details, he has a gorgeous 66 Danube Blue with a single stage paint job.

what about just glazing it?
I've had a few black cars and 3M's Imperial Hand glaze always looks great on black paint

I have used Liquid Luster for many years especially on paint that is oxidized. Works great.
