Anyone know where I can get a panel for the drivers side of the tunnel on a '71 Chevelle ? Some dingbat cut a chunk of it out for God knows what in some previous life of this car. The cut I need to repair goes from about the firewall to about half way passed the front seat.
Thanks..........

try a local junkyard i don't think there are any suppliers who make the trans tunnel patches.

I just bought two front floor pans from Hinshaw's chevelle here in NC at the Charlotte auto fair. Not sure exactly what your hole looks like but the pans I have match my 66 very well from the measurements I've taken. The pans go well up the side of the tunnel.
I don't have a problem with my tunnel so depending on where your hole is I may have some extra sheetmetal in the area you need. It'll be about a month before I get to put that side in if you can hang that long. If not check out www.hinshawschevelle.com (http://www.hinshawschevelle.com) for info on their catalog. I paid $45 per pan. The cheapest I found and the quality for the one's I got are excellent. Drop me an email if you think my leftovers will work.
