Hey guys, got a simple question. I'm putting my 70 back together after a few years of intermittent body work. Is the trunk weatherstrip supposed to lay in the channel around the trunk? Seems like that would be for drainage. Also, the lip on the trunk side of that drain is missing a piece (rust). Is there a patch for this or should I cut it from something else? Thanks in advance.

Yes you have to have the rubber in the channel. I don't think anyone sells patch pieces for the lip,so you'll have to make them.If not the water will run in the trunk,then you will have more rust to fix.
