I just got a call from a friend who knows of a one owner, 69 Chevelle with only 33k original miles. Its being sold as part of an 96 year old womens estate and is said to have very little rust and be 100% original. 307 2bbl, powerglide, bench seat w/column shift, ps, manual drums, working A/C, butternut yellow with a black top, hubcaps, original paint with a little rust, PERFECT interior, runs and drives nice. Whats a car like this worth ???? I'm on my way with truck/trailer/cash so wish me luck. One look is worth a thousand words !!!!!

I'd give maybe $5k tops.
Bob why don't YOU keep the car......instead of just flipping it for profit?

J.D. ...... I currently have way to many tanks to fill, :D and i just couldnt pass this up. In all honesty, i am considering keeping it. Its such an easy car to make cherry, its almost a shame to sell it. Cars like this dont come around that often. Whats this think worth with nice paint and no rust ????

Maybe i will keep it.

Ok please dont take offense to this but to play devils advocate I say yea right....

Now if your really sincere the best way to see what those cars with that engine combo and see what the auctions have closed for. Its not that I am trying to take a shot at you by any means.

We have had a few people that want to "cash in" and pretend that they are intrested in how much thier car is worth. All to discover by someone else on TC that caught it listed someplace for sale on ebay or whatever. It appeared they were only looking to see how much to list the auction as. Not that there is really anything against that but it is kind of decieving.

Again, im not trying to take any shots here.

I don't understand why you asked us what it's worth and you don't advertise it here first, before ebay. Based on your actions, I will not be bidding on the car because I make it a policy not to do business with that type of person.

If you had tried to sell it here after asking what it's worth, you would have saved yourself money and the hassle from the scammers on ebay. Plus, it would probably sell here because there are many of us that appreciate a car that is original.

First off.... Chris, No offense taken. I understand what your saying and i did look in ebays completed listings. Found nothing at all similar to this car. Nothing even close. If i offended anyone ...I'm sorry.

Oldtimefan..... I asked the question before i bought the car, and listed the car on Ebay because thats where more people look. I owned the car for less that 12 hrs and it was already listed. I hope that doesnt make me "that type of person" If you or anyone else was interested in this car, i would have and still will entertain any offers. I dont think my actions were out of line and i am sorry if i offended you or any others.

First, why waste the money to backhalf when 10's and some 9's are easily in reach with stock wheelwells and tuning.
Second, why even waste the time to post here- when by the time he gets an answer its aready on ebay: too late for a reserve then isnt.
Third, are you on medication?

Reserves mean nothing on Ebay.. all Ebay is ..is an advertising forum , someone who wants to buy a car goes and looks at it with cash in hand . Anyone expecting to sell to the highest bidder usually gets jerked around by loosers who are dreamers or ."my son bid by accident" Ebay should have a deposit fee for anyone who bids just so when they flake out (as they usually do ) they should be held responisble for their actions , as with any estate auction you have to put up a fee to pre register to be eligible to bid .Ebay needs to revise their format to deal with bidders who bail out.And sellers should be able to leave feedback for bid retractions without a resonable explination.. Almost every car on Ebay is relisted due to people jerkin you around with BS bids

I dont know why you would want to sell it if i got a car like that for cheap i would keep it drive it around and brag to everyone. Muscle cars fetching insanely high prices is really screwing up the hobby for all of us.

Personally I'd keep it since those are hard to come by.....it's not everyday you find an actual survivor....

And why would you want to back half it and make it a race car? Unless you were brain damaged smoking some good ****....you'd be better off selling it and finding an old junker.....you could get FAR more $$ out of it by leaving it as is and selling it as is.....
