can i dip the hinges in my base coat and then my clear? because,if i try to spray them i can't get the intire hinge.

sounds pretty messy/runny to me. Hang the hinge with a wire and spray it. Have another wiring hooked on the bottom of the hinge and lift it up to expose all the places you missed from the top.
You should be able to get it all.

Try not to spray the roller. The paint will chip off and hang up keeping the roller from operating smoothly. Tape it off.
