15 years ago when we built our house and 20X40 garage our lot sloped quite a bit. I had to have 8' walls poured on all four sides of the garage fondation to make the garage look right with the house. Unfortunately I didn't have the funds to deck the floor so it was filled with dirt and somewhat compacted(using a bobcat). I waited a year to install the 4"(possibly more like 5") concrete floor, to allow for settling. Instead of wire the figerglass strands(or whatever it's called) was used. The floor was pinned to the walls. I'd like to put a lift in even though I've got 10' walls(probably 10'3"). There are 9'3" lifts avaliable but I can also go above my rafters. Being 5'7" I believe I'll get all the headroom clearence I need. My question is do you think the current floor will support the lift or am I going to have to cut the floor, drill down 8' or so to get to a solid footing under each "foot" of the lift? Won't cutting the floor caue it t possiblyweaken at the areas cut? TIA Pete
